CzGU AKA The “Czech Get Up”

The “Czech Get Up” is derived from the work of Professor Pavel Kolar, P.T., Ph.D. and the Prague School of Rehabilitation www.rehabps.com . The “Czech Get Up” follows the concepts and principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) which is based on the scientific principles of developmental kinesiology (DK), i.e., the neurophysiological aspects of the maturing locomotor system.

Come learn about the benefits of loading developmental milestone positions, in order to tap into and utilize the hard wired, inborn, motor patterns that manifest with ideal CNS maturation during the first years of life. 

 

Learning Objectives: 

-Discuss Movement preparation combining mobility with stability.

-Develop Sequencing – Positioning, transitions, Flow in order to train your CNS

-Review Kettlebell as load

-Review Hand loading fundamentals

-Describe Respiratory and postural function of the diaphragm with load

Michael Rintala, D.C. is in private practice in San Diego, California specializing in sports medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Rintala has been part of the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour Sports Medicine Team since 2005. He is also a treating doctor for the World Surf League (WSL) and a wide variety of other organizations ranging from Dance to Action Sports. He also serves on the USA Surfing Performance Committee. Dr. Rintala is an international instructor on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) for the Prague School of Rehabilitation. He is a certified DNS Exercise Trainer and DNS Practitioner.
